Postcards from the Edge — and they’re addressed to YOU!

April 23rd, 2009

A witch’s hat. Boston Cream Pie. A hobo clown.  Racks of colorful postcards in the background.

I just closed my eyes, and got an instant clairvoyant message — some might say, “a psychotic instant message” — and still others simply say, “what on earth does that mean?”

I am a professional psychic reader, so I’m used to people seeking me out for my supposed craziness.  That’s part of the appeal. ;)

Oh yeah! I almost forgot, I was going to tell you what those images I mentioned earlier, what I like to call “imprints,” mean (at least what they mean to me; they would probably tell you a different story, because you are a unique person with your own symbols):

The witch hat, for me, is about seeking wisdom from a mystical source.

The Boston Cream Pie means I’ll be getting a sweet treat from Boston, Massachusetts.

The hobo clown represents someone who will make me laugh, but also cry and feel empathy.

You see, these mental images of post cards are messages coming to me from the other side. It’s one way for my guides to talk to me.

The message, from my point of view, translates to: “You are seeking wisdom from a mystical source, who knows the ups and downs of life because she is from a big city. Her readings will make you laugh, and cry, because she is painfully, wonderfully accurate when she passes on messages from the other side.“  Might sound crazy but it is kind of logical.

Symbols are the language of the soul.  They are how the Divine connects with us.
I started reading Tarot when I was 14.  That was almost 4 decades ago.  I was fascinated by the insight the cards gave me.  There were not that many different types of decks available then.  New age sections in bookstores were less than one shelf, and hidden away in a dusty corner at that.  But I found a deck, and began a journey of mystery using the Tarot.

When my third child, Will, was born, I started seeing things without the cards.  I had seen auras since childhood — clouds of color around people — but I thought everyone saw them.
This was something new, though.  I could see symbols forming around people.  At that point I became a professional psychic reader.

I strongly believe that everyone has intuition.  It is up to you whether you want to develop it.  The more you use your intuition, the more you will trust it, and the more it comes in.  It’s like a muscle: the more you work out, the bigger it gets.

I am an ethical reader.  I will not tell you when you are going to die, or if you are going to come down with a devastating disease.  I feel those issues are between you and your maker.  I discourage people from getting readings more than once every three months.  Give readings time to work, and give yourself time and space to trust your own intuition.

I am just a guide.  It is up to you whether you follow the path you see laid before you, or change direction and forge ahead into the unknown.  You create your own future.
